We fostered Terrance from the Pug Nation Los Angeles. Blind in both eyes, a history of seizures, underweight, had allergies, and was suffering from a skin infection that caused him to lose his fur on half of his body. We cared for him, put him on a special diet, and bathed him weekly. Terrance looked like a new dog! I took him to the adoption events, hoping someone could provide him a “forever home.” But it seemed no one wanted a blind dog with a history of medical problems. By the third event, we adopted him. People ask me if Terrance is not a lot of trouble because of his blindness and other health problems, but I tell them that those minor inconveniences are a small price to pay for all the love, affection, loyalty, and companionship that Terrance has given our family.
