Dr. Taketa graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts, West Indies in 2017. After graduating, she worked in general practice for several months before completing a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. To further pursue her interest in veterinary dermatology, she moved to Oregon where she completed a one-year dermatology internship at SkinVet Clinic, and began a residency program. She then moved to Southern California in July 2020 and joined Animal Dermatology Clinic to complete her residency program.
Before: "Taffy” came to us in April 2009 and was diagnosed with pemphigus foliaceus
After: One year later her condition is under control. Pustules have disappeared & haircoat is restored.
