Charli Dong, DVM achieves Diplomate status
with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD)
PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Animal Dermatology Clinic Pasadena is proud to announce that Dr. Charli Dong has achieved Diplomate status and joins the ranks of nearly 300 board-certified veterinary dermatologists in the United States. To achieve board certification in dermatology, a licensed veterinarian must complete a three-year residency teaching program, publish original research in the field of animal dermatology, and pass a rigorous two-day exam.
Dr. Charli Dong earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2012. Prior to accepting a Residency position at Animal Dermatology Clinic in 2013, she completed a one-year rotating internship at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. Dr. Dong obtained Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in November 2016.

The American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) is the official specialty organization accredited by the American College of Veterinary Medical Association, which maintains the high standards and post-graduate training and certification in veterinary dermatology.
About Animal Dermatology Clinic
Founded in 1980 by Dr. Craig Griffin, Animal Dermatology Clinic (ADC), was the first private practice approved for a residency program by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD). Over the last 30 years, there have been over twenty board certified veterinary dermatologists that have successfully completed residencies through ADC's formal program. Expansion efforts to treat veterinary dermatology cases have included fourteen full-time clinics and over thirty satellite locations throughout the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
In September 2016, ADC announced accreditation of their residency teaching program at Massey University, Palmerston North in New Zealand to continue with their world-renowned advancement in veterinary dermatology including ear diseases and allergies.
