Are you frustrated by refractory otitis cases? Do you want to know the best way to treat every ear every time? We will cover yeast infections that continue to recur and Pseudomonas ear infections that never seem to go away. Come and learn ear cleaning techniques, when to opt for surgery and how to choose the most appropriate medication. Case studies will be used to demonstrate a problem solving approach and treatment goals for otitis.
RSVP required. Please email Christy Ortiz at cortiz@adcmg.com or call (949) 390-2990.
December 7 - Location TBD - Dermatology Myth Busters!
How often have you heard: "I want to feed a grain-free/raw diet" or "Corticosteroids will shorten his life!” or “Bathing will strip the natural oil from my dog’s coat.” These are just some of many "myths" that clients (and some veterinarians) believe about managing skin disease. Come and learn the truth and manage these questions with some evidence-based answers. We will dispel these myths and a few more to educate your staff and your clients with the latest information. Bring your own myths that you have heard from clients to share!
In addition to the DermClub lecture at each meeting we will be critiquing a new dermatology related journal article from one of the main veterinary journals that will be provided and sent out to registrants two weeks prior to the lecture. You will learn how to critically assess the article from the abstract, to the materials and methods as well as the results and conclusions. Then take this information and use it in your daily practice!
To RSVP email cortiz@adcmg.com and specify which date and topic you're interested in attending.
